Contraindications

Holosomatic Breathwork is a deeply supportive practice, but it is not suitable for everyone and is not a replacement of medical assistance. Because the sessions can lead to intense emotional and physical responses, it's important to consider whether this practice is safe for your current health condition.
Please do not take part in a session if any of the following apply to you:

Neurological and Heart-Related Conditions

  • History of seizures or epilepsy

  • Stroke or mini-stroke (TIA)

  • Serious eye conditions (such as a detached retina or glaucoma)

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure

  • Any diagnosed heart condition (including arrhythmia, heart failure, previous heart attack)

  • Aneurysms (yourself or in your immediate family)

  • Use of prescription blood thinners or similar medications

  • Presence of implanted devices (e.g. pacemaker, neurostimulator)

Chronic Illnesses & Autoimmune Disorders

  • Addison’s disease or other adrenal gland disorders

  • Advanced respiratory conditions (like COPD stages II or III)

  • Unstable forms of diabetes, especially insulin-dependent Type 1

  • Active autoimmune diseases causing severe inflammation or fatigue (such as Lupus, MS, or severe Fibromyalgia)

  • Chronic illness that is progressing or unmanaged

  • Ongoing cancer treatment or advanced stages of cancer

If you are in remission, please speak with your doctor before attending a session.

Acute or Physical Recovery States

  • Any current viral or bacterial infection

  • Unhealed injuries or recent physical trauma

  • Severe fatigue syndromes (like CFS or long-term adrenal burnout)

  • Chronic pain or musculoskeletal issues that limit physical comfort

  • Recent major surgery (within the last 6 months, especially involving the heart, brain, or abdomen)

Mental Health Conditions

  • Psychotic disorders or untreated severe mental illness

  • Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or dissociative disorders

  • Recent hospitalization for psychiatric reasons

  • Active substance withdrawal (including alcohol, narcotics, or sedatives)

  • Difficulty maintaining emotional regulation or impulse control

If you're experiencing PTSD or anxiety, breathwork may still be supportive — but only with professional guidance and support.

Additional Considerations

  • Pregnancy: Not recommended at any stage

  • Asthma: Allowed only if you bring your prescribed inhaler

  • Substance Use: Please avoid participation if you've used alcohol, recreational drugs, or psychedelics in the last 24 hours

  • Medical Disclosure: Please inform me of any current treatments, health conditions, or medications before joining a session

A Gentle Reminder
Holosomatic Breathwork invites you into a deep inner journey — emotionally, physically, and energetically. This process can be incredibly healing when approached with care, presence, and readiness.
If you're unsure whether this practice is right for you, I invite you to reach out or speak with your doctor. Your wellbeing comes first.
